Paris, France: An International News Photos cameraman was clubbed by French police and had his camera smashed while on assignment near the Yugoslav Embassy last Tuesday. The photographer, Jean Aubry, was covering a demonstration outside the embassy against Marshal Tito's current visit to France. Left: Aubry (holding camera) is taken by surprise by police who started their manhandling immediately. Note that the strap of his power pack has already been ripped from his shoulder. Second from left: Aubry vainly tries to defend himself as he's beset by the police. Second from right: his camera and flash equipment trampled underfoot, the battered and beaten photographer stumbles and is about to fall.
