EGYPT-COPTIC-DEMO-ANNIVERSARY
Egyptians hold candles in remembrance of those who were killed when security forces violently crushed a Coptic Christian demonstration in front of the state television (Maspero) building in Cairo on October 9, 2013, the second anniversary of the death of the victims. Violence flared at the protest to denounce the torching of a church in the southwest province of Aswan on October 9, 2011 when the army and riot police charged at the demonstrators, leaving 26 Coptic Christians, one Muslim man and one policeman dead, Amnesty International said.
