A family of tourists walk through bas-reliefs on a platform...

BOROBUDUR, SPECIAL REGION OF YOGYAKARTA, CE, INDONESIA - 2015/04/19: A family of tourists walk through bas-reliefs on a platform at the Borobudur temple. The temple, built in the 8th century, is one of the largest Buddhist monuments in the world. Probably due to the decline of Buddhism and the Javanese conversion to Islam, it was abandoned for centuries and covered with volcanic ashes and thick vegetation. The UNESCO inscribed the temple on its world heritage list in 1991. (Photo by Thierry Falise/LightRocket via Getty Images)
