India's open-air wholesale flower market in Ghazipur city
GHAZIPUR, INDIA - APRIL 22: Flowers all over India are sold in this market, although also from Thailand, China and as far away as the Netherlands. According to unofficial estimates, the annual trade volume is as high as 100 million dollars. The negotiated procedure is based on 100 rupees a flower. Hindus offer worship to their gods with different flowers. The flower markets of Ghazipur are temples of beauty amidst the concrete jungle of the city, and an integral part of the citys heritage and culture.
