14th July 1951: Members of the Fraser clan gathered for the first time in 200 years at Beaufort Castle in Scotland. Standing is the Master of Lovat, heir to Lord Lovat, the Chief of clan Fraser. Lord Lovat organised the traditional clan gathering at Beaufort Castle, Inverness, for around 7,000 family members from across Europe and Canada. Events included a tug of war, a band of pipers and a march past his home in the Big Field of Dounie.
