Tan Zerui Wins The 7th Shing-Tung Yau High School Mathematics Awards

CHANGSHA, CHINA - DECEMBER 15: (CHINA OUT) Tan Zerui, a student of Grade 2 from The High School Attached To Hunan Normal University wins the 7th Shing-Tung Yau High School Mathematics Awards on December 15, 2014 in Changsha, Hunan province of China. The Yau High School Mathematics Awards (YHMA), was established in 2008 to encourage high school students worldwide to participate in project-based competition in mathematical sciences. Tan Zerui, a student of Grade 2 from The High School Attached To Hunan Normal University wrote his thesis "On the Square-free Numbers in Shifted Primes" and won the "7th Shing-Tung Yau High School Mathematics Awards" only gold award in the world. Tan Zerui, for his award, he also got 150,000 (about 24217 USD) bonus as well as the priority of applying for Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Princeton University and other world famous universities.
