The Yugoslav Ministry of Defense was the governmental department responsible for defending the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from internal and external military threats. The building of the Ministry of Defense, which was considered to be a masterpiece of post-war architecture, was bombed on 7th May 1999 during Operation Allied Force. The NATO bombing of Yugoslavia was the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) military operation against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo War.
