BRITAIN-SWITZERLAND-TAX-HSBC-PROBE
The UK headquarters of HSBC is seen at Canary Wharf in London on February 18, 2015. Morocco's King Mohammed VI said Wednesday his bank account with HSBC's Swiss banking arm, alleged to have helped ultra-rich clients dodge taxes, was opened with "strict respect" for his country's tax laws. The king was among hundreds of clients whose names cropped up when stolen files were released claiming the London-based bank helped clients in more than 200 countries evade taxes on accounts containing $119 billion (104 billion euros).
