University of Puebla gives the title of Honoris Causa to the mexican writer Carlos Fuentes in an especial session of the university council, with the mayor of Puebla, Melquiades Morales and the president of Conaculta, Sari Bermudes on February 2003, in Puebla, Mexico. Carlos Fuentes died today (May 15, 2012) at the age of 83 in Mexico City. Fuentes, author of books like Aura, La Region Mas Transparente and Las Buenas conciencias was one of the most important mexican writers for the past 40 years. He was also a distinguished diplomatic and represented Mexico in France, and Spain in the 1960´s.
