(HR) LAKEWOOD, COLORADO ABOVE: This is a signed copy of a picture of Babe Ruth given to Jim Burris from his friend. Jim Burris is photographed at his home in Lakewood. He was born in New Castle, Indiana on January 5, 1922 <cq>. Through-out his illustrious career in sports among many of his jobs he was Secretary and Publicist for the American Association of Professional Baseball Leagues in both Louisville, Kentucky and Denver, Colorado from 1948 to 1960 <cq>. He was named General Manager of the Denver Bears in 1965 <cq> and also the General Manager of the Denver Broncos in 1966 <cq>. He continued on as GM of the Bears and was Vice President of Rocky Mountain Empire Sports (Broncos) until the sale o9f the corporation in 1994 <cq>. He has been retired since 2001. PHOTO BY HELEN H.
