Ground Hornbills - stock photo

Found over much of East a South Africa, seen here in the northern Serengeti. They much of their time walking, foraging for lizards and snakes. They also eat fallen fruit from trees. From my African friend Ruby who commented below: "note for interest their facial skin turns yellow within 1 year, then flecked red until 2 years, orange when 3 years and only fully red (male) or with blue (female) by 4 - 6 years of age. "
