In the background is a buddhist temple, with prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and Nepal's Himalayas behind. The sun is setting after a long day of trekking the Annapurna Circuit and summiting the Thorung La Pass, which sits just above 17,500 feet in altitude. The setting is in the city of Muktinath, an important city for both the Hindu and Buddhist religions. This photo was taken during the Dasain fetival in October.
