Pioneering photojournalism

The Ernst Haas Collection

From the first color essay ever published in Life magazine and his early black and white work in post‑war Vienna, Ernst Haas established his status of master photographer. His experimentation in color, his unquestionable genius for style, composition and use of natural light are examples of his pioneering spirit in photography.

Formerly with the renowned Magnum agency, his exceptional collection has been represented by Getty Images since 1996.
