Kosovo Serbs Vote For New Mayor In Divided Town Of Mitrovica After Previous Elected Mayor Refused Job

The candidate of the Civic Initiative Srpska, Goran Rakic, declared his victory after winning the mayoral elections in the race for the northern Kosovska Mitrovica mayor. Voters were called to the polls for the 4th time after a series of problems, failed attempts, the killing of a political candidate and finally the last Serbian elected candidate who refused to swear-in in the presence of Kosovar symbols on documents.
