NAKURU, KENYA - 2023/03/03: A close up of hands holding granules of Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium, (NPK) fertilizer during the commissioning of Fertiplant fertilizer factory in Nakuru by President William Ruto. Fertiplant, a local fertilizer plant, is expected to address the fertilizer deficit in Kenya ahead of the planting season. The Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium, (NPK) fertilizer granulation company has an annual capacity of 100, 000 tonnes, while Kenyas annual fertilizer consumption stands at 500,000 tonnes per annum.
