Destruction In Falaise France

(Original Caption) 10/8/1944-Falaise, France: Falaise, the target for which Allied forces in the Caen sector have been aiming, has now fallen to the Canadians. In gaining Falaise, the link up between Allies in this sector and those in the Agentan Sector is nearly complete; The only opposition comes from isolated elemenents of German armoured and infentry divisions who are striving to keep the pincers open in an effort to extract slower moving infentry.
