Page From John Meyer's Expense Records
(Original Caption) Here is a page from the purported expense account records of John W. Meyer, $10,000 a year publicity man and vice-president of the Hughes Aircraft Corporation, now under Senate investigation. The page tells of a three day party in New York in October, 1946, at which J.A. Krug was listed among the guests. A couple of $80 handbags swelled the total. In Washington D.C. today, Secretary of the Interior J.A.Krug charged that Johnny Meyer, right hand man of millionaire Howard Hughes, was a "master swindle sheet operator" and further stated that in the business world, an expense voucher is commonly known as a "swindle sheet." Krug denied attending parties charged by Meyer to Hughes Aircraft Company.
