MCALLEN, TEXAS - MAY 27: Jesus Bocanegra, 24, stands in front a painting of himself done while he was serving in Iraq May 27, 2006 in McAllen, Texas. Bocanegra has been diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, a result of his service in Iraq in 2003-04. Bocanegra went though months denying he had a problem, ?I had no clue what PTSD was at first,? he says. An attempt to attend college was thrwarted by his nervousness with crowds, a common symtom of PTSD. Now he is on several anti-depression drugs and struggles to recover from the mental strain of a year at war. (Photo by Chris Hondros/Getty Images)
