(Original Caption) 5/6/1962- New York, NY: New York Yankees Roger Maris leaps high in the air to save a ball from the bat of Washington Senator's catcher Ken Retzer from going into the stands for a homer, in the seventh inning of the first game of a doubleheader in Yankee Stadium, May 6th. The Senators didn't get any runs in that inning, but rallied for three in the eight, to defeat the Yankess, 4-2.
