Forest Hills, Long Island: Vice President Richard Nixon (right) congratulates Sir Percy Spender, Australian ambassador, as he presents the Davis Cup to the team from down under, who defeated the U.S. 5-0 in the challenge round. It was the worst defeat suffered by the U.S. in Davis Cup competition in 20 years. The coup de grace was delivered this afternoon as America's Vic Seixas and Ham Richardson, were downed by Hoad and Rosewall in their respective single matches. From left are: Sir Percy, Lew Hoad, Neale Fraser, Rex Hartwig, Kenny Rosewall, Harry Hopman, non playing captain of the Australian team, and Mr. Nixon.
