Paul Revere
circa 1800: Paul Revere (1735 - 1818). American patriot and silversmith. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, served in French & Indian War 1756, an early patriot, a leader in Sons of Liberty, aided in plan & execution of Boston Tea Party 1773. Known for his ride on night of 18 April 1775 from Charlestown to Lexington, warning John Hancock & Sam Adams of British troops sent to arrest them and seize Patriot arms at Concord.
