Train Robbery Victim Jack Mills
(Original Caption) Pictured at his home here yesterday is the driver of the post-office train from Glascow-to-London, which was held up by bandits in Buckinghamshire. Fifty-seven-year-old Mr. Jack Mills, said The ambush was like a military operation. I saw a masked man on the steps of the cab. He held a long bar wrapped in white cloth, and I thought, I'm not giving up without a fight. I grabbed him and nearly through him off the footplate. Then I was coshed behind him. I dropped to my knees and they kept on hitting me. Mr. Mills was forced to drive the train on towards the getaway spot. He added, A voice said For God's sake don't speak because there are some right bastards here. Keep quiet for your own sake.
