A portrait of Elias Boudinot, he was a lawyer who served as a delegate to the Continental Congress, from 1782 until 1783 he served as President of Congress, he was member of the United States House of Representatives from 1789 until 1795, he was then appointed by George Washington to head the United States Mint which he did from 1795 until 1805, 1798.
