Tourism Is Slowly Picking Up As Portugal Lifts More Restrictions Portugal's Epidemic Level Goes From Moderate To Low

LISBON, PORTUGAL - OCTOBER 01: A sailboat navigates the Tagus River with tourists by the Cais das Colunas at the end of afternoon on the first day of more relaxed set of restrictions regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic on October 01, 2021 in Lisbon, Portugal. The Council of Ministers approved a new set of rules from October 01 allowing the reopening of bars and nightclubs. Restaurants, cafes and pastry shops will no longer have a maximum limit of people per group. No longer a digital certificate or negative test will be required for access to restaurants and hotels. Hourly limits end in commercial establishments and restaurants and no longer will be capacity limits in commercial establishments, cultural shows, weddings and baptisms. The limitation on the sale and consumption of alcohol ends. However mandatory use of masks continues in public transportation, residential facilities for the elderly, hospitals, concert halls, events, and for accessing or remaining inside commercial spaces and establishments, including shopping centers, with an area greater than 400 m2. It is also still required mandatory presentation of a certificate or negative test for travel by air or sea, and to attend large cultural, sporting or corporate events and bars and nightclubs.
