Bladder cancer and metastases
Stage IV bladder cancer in humans, tumor invasion with metastases, highlights the sites of target organs that may be affected by metastases from stage IV bladder cancer. The bladder is shown in section in the pelvic cavity to show the extent of tumor invasion. The tumor invaded the entire wall of the bladder and spread inside and beyond outside into the pelvic cavity. The vessels are affected, as well as the lymphatic system. Metastases can then at this stage migrate via the arterial system to other organs. (Photo by: BSIP/Education Images/Universal Images Group via Getty Images)
