Sudanese displaced people wait to receiv

NYALA, SUDAN: Sudanese displaced people wait to receive food supplies from from the World Food Program distributed by World Vision in Kalma Camp, near Nyala town in Sudan's southern Darfur region 10 January 2005. US President George W. Bush applauded yesterday both the government of Sudan and the rebel movement for ending a civil war, but reminded Khartoum that fighting must end in Darfur. Since February 2003, Darfur has been wracked by conflict between the Arabic government in Khartoum, largely represented by local Arab militias, and two rebel groups fighting for the rights of the black African peoples of the region.
