Chatsworth House Withdraw Planning Application For Gormley Art Installation
CHATSWORTH, UNITED KINGDOM - MARCH 03: The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire view the arrival of the first of one hundred statues which would have been part of the 'Time Horizon' art installation of iron statues by acclaimed artist Antony Gormley on March 3, 2008 in Chatsworth, England. Chatsworth House has today, March 14, 2008, withdrawn their planning application to Peak District National Park Authority to stage the installation of 100 iron body casts on ecological grounds. The application was not refused but the authority made a recommendation of refusal and on that basis Chatsworth withdrew their application. (Photo by Christopher Furlong/Getty Images)
