The Mayor of Villafrechos and singleton Miguel Angel Gomez speaks to AFP prior to the arrival of the 'caravan of women' in Villafrechos, 07 May 2006. Gomez decided in November to contact a dating agency to bring women to the village with the aim of repopulating the village. The single men of Villafrechos, who range from the age of 28 to 68 have for one reason or another not been able to find a match will look forward to an evening of drinks, food and dancing with around 100 single women in the hope of Cupids arrow striking.
