The Ostro stone in the minerals exhibition room at the Natural History Museum in London, England, United Kingdom. The Ostro stone is the largest cut topaz to go on show at the Museum. Weighing around two kilogrammes, and is 9,381 carats, displayed alongside specimens from one of the world's most important mineral collections. The museum exhibits a vast range of specimens from various segments of natural history. The museum is home to life and earth science specimens comprising some 80 million items within five main collections: botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology and zoology.
