(Original Caption) The Prime Minister of Lebanon, Sami Bey Solh. He was born in Acre, Palestine, in 1890. He studied law in Istanbul and then Paris. His first appointment in 1913 was as lawyer of the Berlin-Bagdad railway. In 1919 he was appointed lawyer to the Hedjaz Railway and the following year became public prosecutor to the court of Cassation in Lebanon. He entered public life in 1943 and became Prime Minister. He has already formed four cabinets.
