The world's first spherical coin is shown on May 11, 2016 at The Mint Of Poland Exhibition in Warsaw, Poland. The coin was made for Niue, a territory associated with New Zealand. The 34 mm spherical coin shows a globe decorated with Swarovski crystals, placed where the seven new wonders of the world are located: the Great Wall of China, Petra, the statue of Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, the Colosseum, the Taj Mahal and Chichen Itza.
