Families Of Hostages Await News After Israel-Hamas Truce Announcement
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL - NOVEMBER 23: Yellow ribbons and hearts with messages on them hang from a tree outside The Museum of Modern Art known as the 'The Hostages and Missing Square' after it was announced that 13 women and children would be released tomorrow and a temporary cease fire would begin at 7am on November 23, 2023 in Tel Aviv, Israel. On Tuesday night, Israel and Hamas agreed to a four-day pause in fighting that would entail the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza, as well as 150 Palestinian prisoners in Israel. On Thursday, Qatar, who helped broker the truce, announced that it would begin at 7:00 am on Friday the 24th, followed by the release of hostages in the afternoon. According to Israeli authorities, around 240 hostages are being held by Hamas in Gaza after being captured from communities in southern Israel on Oct. 7. (Photo by Alexi J. Rosenfeld/Getty Images)
