19th Century Letterbox. - stock photo
A 19/20th century cast-iron letterbox slot next to the faded front door of an industrial building in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The Jewellery Quarter is Europe’s largest concentration of businesses involved in the jewellery trade. It’s historical importance was recognised by English Heritage in the 1970s. Presently, the area is a mix of restored and, as here, unrestored industrial buildings.
