The landmark Tiger's Nest (Taktshang) Monastery perched high on the edge of a sheer cliff near Paro, Bhutan, with view out to valley to the right. Legend tells that Guru Padmasambhava, the founder of Buddhism in Bhutan, meditated in a cave here after arriving on the back of a flying tiger. The first temple was built here in 1692.
