The Fort Carré is located on the top of a hill that overlooks the port of Antibes, in the south of France. It was built in the sixteenth century from four bastions in the shape of an arrow. The fortress was designed by the architect Henri de Mandon and later renovated by Vauban, the favorite architect of the Sun King.
