Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is an architectural masterpiece from the Safavid Empire. It is located in Isfahan (Iran), on the eastern side of Naghsh-i Jahan Square (also called Shah Square or Imam Khomeini Square since the revolution of 1979). The mosque was built in the 17th century by Shaykh Bahai, during the reign of Shah Abbas I of Persia.
