This monument in the heart of the Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site is believed to have been built between 4000 and 4500 years ago. Originally built with sixty stones in a circle over 100 metres (over 100 yards) across, fewer than half of the stones still stand. The tallest of the stones is a little over 4.5 metres (15 feet) tall.
