St. Andrews Church is a major Baroque church located in Kyiv at the beginning of the Andriyivskyy Descent. It was built between 1747 and 1754 and is a major landmark of modern Kyiv. Andriyivskyy Descent is a historic road, a descent, which connects Kyiv's Upper Town district and the Podil, a district which lays along the Dnipro river. Mostly pedestrian street is considered to be the "Montmartre of Kyiv", and is home to many painters and artisans, both working and selling their creations here.
