Dalai Lama SOT - I want to share one experience from yesterday on a flight from Delhi to London / One Indian lady she approached and showed me a picture, her son and daughter / And she asked me to bless them and told me one of her children very unhappy and strong feeling of hopelessness / I told her that self-confidence is the key factor; honest, truthful and warm heart - these things are the basis of self confidence - I remain as a Buddhist monk, I always remain honest truthful / Sometimes a little bit blunt / Even to Buddhist, I'm quite blunt and sometimes I criticize / Some of our scripture mentions geography of the world, I'm still Buddhist - I believe more on scientific findings -That's true, that's a fact / If it goes against Buddhist belief, then we must change that / No matter what sort of environement, you can keep your peace of mind - If your mind relies on external environment, then you become helpless / We are not animals, we have intelligence --That way you can see enemy very helpful to build inner strength / I told her to practice more honest, sincerity and you will get more self confidence and reduce fear - She was showing sadness, I also feel sad - I gave her the solution like that -For the last 60 years, difficult circumstances, I can keep my peace of mind - Annually I get medical check up, they say last 30 years no change - I notices some change, more white hair - My physical condition, no change - They told me to reduce my weight - I had to suffer my lunch and breakfast / As a monk, I get no dinner
