Lord Sugar (Alan Sugar) (Entrepreneur) (Baron Sugar of Clapton) interview SOT
- On UK GDP growth of 0.8 per cent - encouraging / Views on the coalition government and Clegg and Cameron - can't form an opinion on people unless they have had a fair crack at the whip, don't have much confidence in them / They landed on their feet / Politicians, both Cameron and Brown, made tremendous mistake of succumbing to pressure of doing live television debates before the election / TV companies have to be fair so they invited the Liberal party in / Clegg stood there and thought to himself that he had nothing to lose so could talk a lot of waffle and promise the world / He skewed the population and we ended up with neither Conservative or Labour in and I think that was a big, big error / Should never have agreed to do those debates, never have allowed the Liberal Party to come in and throw a curve ball / Clegg and Cable are now thinking we've got to do what we were waffling about, they are ducks out of water quite frankly
