KATHIE LEE GIFFORD, co-host: We're back on this Funday Monday with TODAY'S BUZZ, a round-up of all the people and events making headlines this week. HODA KOTB, co-host: Hollywoodlife.com's editor-in-chief Bonnie Fuller and NBC's Gossip Gram's Roseanne Colletti are here to keep you up-to-date on all things Hollywood. Breakups, makeups and all the rest. GIFFORD: And so much more. Hello, ladies. KOTB: Hi. Ms. BONNIE FULLER (Editor-in-Chief, hollywoodlife.com): Hi. Ms. ROSEANNE COLLETTI: Hi. Good morning. KOTB: Earlier on our show, Giuliana Rancic came on and revealed something surprising, I don't think that people knew that she has breast cancer. Ms. FULLER: That's right. She wanted everybody to know. She was very emotional about it, but she wanted everyone to know because she feels that her quest to have a baby, to have fertility treatments, really saved her life. KOTB: Mm-hmm. Ms. FULLER: Because her doctor insisted she get a mammogram before starting the next round of treatment. KOTB: Mm-hmm. Ms. FULLER: And the mammogram showed up the breast cancer. And she's only like--she just turned 37 years old. KOTB: Thirty-seven years old. GIFFORD: And they caught it early, which is the best thing. KOTB: Yes. Ms. FULLER: Yes. Thank goodness. GIFFORD: It's always about that. Ms. COLLETTI: And had she gone ahead and become pregnant, then the growth of the tumor could have progressed at a faster pace, too. KOTB: Sure. And I like her attitude, though. I love when she says something like I don't want people feeling sorry for me. She goes, just go get checked. Ms. COLLETTI: Yes. Ms. FULLER: Exactly. KOTB: I want all my friends to go get checked, like, you know. GIFFORD: Yeah. Ms. COLLETTI: Well, it's kind of interesting to watch, too, while she goes through this will be do they address it on the show and how will they deal with it and will this be the first reality show that deals with this in a serious way? GIFFORD: She's very candid. KOTB: Yeah. GIFFORD: I think they probably will. She'll help an a whole--an awful lot of people. Ms. FULLER: That's right. I think she'll be very open about it. And she said they're going to continue to try and get pregnant after she's through treatment. KOTB: Sure. GIFFORD: Good for her. KOTB: OK. Let's get to J.Lo and Bradley Cooper. Hello. GIFFORD: Second public date. Ms. COLLETTI: Ooh. Ms. FULLER: Yeah. KOTB: Date two. What's the story here? GIFFORD: That is a hot couple if it's true. KOTB: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: It is a hot couple. A hot older couple. She's five years older. Now we hear that she likes him. Despite the fact that everybody denied. GIFFORD: Well, who wouldn't? KOTB: Yeah. Yes. Ms. FULLER: The camps denied it was anything but a business meeting when they had dinner a month or so ago. GIFFORD: You don't go to Per Se, that restaurant for business... KOTB: That was their first date. Ms. FULLER: Yes. Ms. COLLETTI: This was on the West Coast in Los Angeles and they were spotted together in his SUV and she did go to some pains to try to cover her face. Ms. FULLER: She did. Ms. COLLETTI: So they're trying to keep it under wraps. GIFFORD: If I had that face, I wouldn't cover it. KOTB: I'd be, look at me. OK. GIFFORD: I'd stick it out the window. KOTB: Now Ashton Kutcher was at the Bill Clinton birthday party solo. Yeah, not with--not with Demi? Ms. FULLER: That's right. Ms. COLLETTI: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: Yeah. He was--he was solo. And I think this really means a lot. I mean, the fact that Demi wouldn't come to him to such a public event. But he was wearing his wedding ring. Now we hear through sources that he's begging Demi for forgiveness and not to divorce him. Ms. COLLETTI: But the London Mail is saying that her family and her friends don't want her to get back with him. They want her to move on. He's still in plenty of hot water after that hot tub tryst. KOTB: Well, when she gave the interview, the woman who was allegedly having a sexual thing with him, did that... Ms. COLLETTI: Interview? She spilled the beans. GIFFORD: Yeah, yeah. KOTB: She did the interview on--it was on tape, too. You could see. Yeah. Ms. FULLER: Oh, yes. Ms. COLLETTI: She did pictures, she did everything. KOTB: Did--was there any reaction from Demi after that came out or nothing? Ms. FULLER: Absolute silence. Ms. COLLETTI: Silence. Ms. FULLER: And silence on Twitter, which is most important of all. GIFFORD: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: I mean, she has barely tweeted. GIFFORD: Ah. Ms. FULLER: They used to affectionately tweet back and forth to each other all the time. Ms. COLLETTI: But then the moving van was spotted outside of their home. And that led to further rumors. GIFFORD: You know what blows me away is that these guys who do this with these girls, do they--do they really believe that this is the type of person who's going to keep it quiet? Their beautiful memories of being with them that one night, they're going to keep it--I mean, of course they're going to milk it. KOTB: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: It's amazing. I mean, he had... GIFFORD: Pardon the pun. Ms. FULLER: Listen, he--according to the reports of people who were there, he had a lot to drink. KOTB: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: But still, he was supposedly on the lookout all evening for hot tub worthy women. KOTB: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: He was looking for trouble. GIFFORD: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: And he did tell them he was separated, allegedly. Ms. COLLETTI: At that moment, he's not thinking. KOTB: Yeah. Ms. COLLETTI: Clearly. GIFFORD: That's right. There's a line in my show that says the trouble with trouble is you don't know you're in trouble until you're in trouble. KOTB: Yes, yes and yes. GIFFORD: Mm-hmm. Yeah. KOTB: OK. Let's talk Mel Gibson. He's got a cheerleader in his camp. Right? Mr. FULLER: That was fabulous. Robert Downey Jr. received a big award this weekend and he had Mel present it. And he did that because Mel, he said, had really saved him, saved his career when he insured him to star in "Air America" together years ago. KOTB: Mm-hmm. So what did he say? Ms. COLLETTI: So he said that please forgive him his trespasses. So if anyone out there is not guilty, and if you, you know, are not guilty, you don't belong here. GIFFORD: You without sin. GIFFORD: Right. Ms. COLLETTI: You are without sin, you don't belong here. KOTB: OK. That's nice to have someone like that standing up for you. Ms. COLLETTI: So it was very gracious of him to have that coming, you know, to his corner. KOTB: OK. Real quick, what's number one at the box office? What's winning? Ms. COLLETTI: Not by much. Ms. FULLER: Yeah. Ms. COLLETTI: Not by much. Ms. FULLER: It's very, very tight. "Real Steel" beat out "Footloose." KOTB: Yeah. Ms. FULLER: But it was neck and neck all weekend. KOTB: OK. All right. GIFFORD: All right. Thank you, ladies. KOTB: Thank you, ladies. Ms. FULLER: Thank you."
