Oniyo festival is annually held in Daizenji tamatare shrine, Kurume city.
It has a history of more than 1600 years, and one of the three major fire festivals in Japan.
People pray for the well-being of their family, and keeping misfortune off from their loved ones.
It is said that the person who is covered with sparks will live perfect state of health.
