Tom Cavanagh joins Al Roker, Willie Geist and Tamron Hall live in Studio 1A. Cavanagh says the arrow in his back did not kill him but it got him into jail, while watching the clip his inner-monitor was like “hack”, it’s a comic book and if he’s not chewing the scenery he feels like he’s not doing his job, it’s fun to do, what people say to him in the street depends on the demographic, in New York he gets a lot of “Scrubs” references, it’s that old adage never trust a guy in a yellow super suit, he loves playing this character, older people will say to him on the street “you’re a bad man”, from 6 to 14 you just pretend and imagine and get in fights with superheroes and villains and not someone is paying him to get into a suit and do it, it’s surreal and incredibly fun, last year at the Comic Con they challenged fans to races, and they went undefeated but that was largely due to the selection process, you just pick a guy in a cape.
