MS: Police officers walks search dog. MS: Police officers search field. MS: Police officers search field by woods. MS: Low shot of police helicopter flying. MS: Police officer searches car trunk at checkpoint. MS: Police officer searches car at checkpoint. MS: Police officer stops car at checkpoint. GFX: Insert surveillance video clips showing carjackings in various places. GFX: Insert photos of escaped inmates. EXT DAY AERIAL: Police stand by cars in secluded area in the grass off of a road. MS: A truck drives. MS: Insert supers of police radio over shot of police officers in search. VO: (From police radio) Man says, "This guy just did a car jacking at 6911." EXT DAY (Surveillance Video) OHS: Man runs by driver’s window as car pulls out from parking spot in parking garage. EXT DAY MS: Self-defense expert John Peek says to Rossen, “There are things you can do to prevent an attack.” GFX: Video freeze frame of Peek with supers “SELF-DEFENSE EXPERT”, “15 YEARS EXPERIENCE” EXT DAY MS: Two shots of Peek carjacker Rossen in reenactment. EXT NIGHT (Surveillance Video) OHS: Two carjackers approach a car in parking lot. EXT DAY MS: Peek approaches Rossen with a gun ordering him out of the car in carjacking reenactment. MS: Rossen drives off honking the horn, and reports on-camera noting tips for handling a carjacking. MS: Peek says, “Here's another tip. (opens the car door and pulls Rossen out of the car) If you can't drive away, then you need to run away. If they pull you out of the car, you do whatever you have to.” Rossen runs off. Rossen says, “The key is to get away? Do most carjackers not want you they want the car?” Peek says, “Most carjackers want the car. However, with the prison break in New York, they may want all your resources. Your car, your money, your clothes, your home to hide out.” MS: Peek says, “If they're shoving you in the car and you can't drive, you can't run (he shoved Rossen inside the car and starts yelling) get over get over to the other side--you do whatever you have to do to crawl out and get out the other door.” Rossen crawls out the other side of the car and runs off. MS: Peek says, “Do not let them take you with them.” MS: As he runs off, Rossen says, “Just get out of there at all costs?” Peek says, “Get away.” MS: Peek approaches Rossen and points a gun at him. He says, “Worst case scenario you find a gun in your face!” MS: Rossen says, “To be honest, I would be panicked, I would do whatever they say.” MS: Peek says, “If you allow them to take you hostage, statistics show the likelihood of you being killed goes up greatly.” MS: Rossen says, “Then what do I do?” MS: Peek says, “Control the line of fire. Push the gun all the way forward to the dash, securing it. Accelerate and drive off.” MS: Rossen drives off. MS: As Rossen drives off, he says, “And now I have the gun.” INT POV shots move inside a home. MS: Rear shot of man walking in the home. MS: Rear shot of man walking in the home. EXT NIGHT (Surveillance Video) MS: Home invaders kick open a door. INT (Surveillance Video) MS: Home invader assaults a woman at a couch. MS: (Night Vision) Home invaders assault a person in bed. INT MS: Out of focus shot of man walking down steps. EXT DAY MS: Former NYPD detective Wallace Zeins. GFX: Video freeze frame of Zeins with supers “NYPD DETECTIVE”, “22-YEAR HOSTAGE NEGOTIATOR” INT MS: Rossen says to Zeins, “I hear a noise what do I do?” MS: Zeins says, “Real simple. A lot of people don't have alarms, they're very expensive. So what should you do? instead of leaving your car keys downstairs, take it and leave it on your night table, you hear a noise, something like that, hit it.” GFX: Insert shots of Zeins activating car alarm. GFX: In video inserts, Rossen says, “It's a built in automatic alarm.” Zeins says, “Built in automatic alarm.” INT MS: Car keys and wasp/hornet spray on night stand by the bed. MS: Zeins says, “”Buy a can of wasp hornet spray in the hardware store or the supermarket, because this is so potent, it's more powerful than police mace. The great part is when you spray, it will go 20 to 25 feet.” GFX: Insert shots of Zeins spraying the wasp hornet spray. INT MS: Rossen says, “So you could be standing at corner of your room and if somebody does get to your bedroom, you can hit him?” Zeins says, “Spray him.” Rossen says, “And what happens to them?” Zein says, “They just are temporarily blind.” EXT DAY MS: Person sprays the wasp hornet spray. INT POV shots move in home and hcildren’s bedrooms. MS: Rossen says, “So, the key is to get the family together all in one place and then get out.” Zeins says, “Exactly, as quickly as you can.” POV shot turns to front door in the home. Rossen reports live in-studio and X-talks with Savannah Guthrie, Carson Daly, Al Roker and Natalie Morales.
