Description: GFX SUPER: “Fashion” INT MS: In interview (part VO) Al Roker says “For my eighth grade graduation, my dad bought me a navy blue Nehru suit with a medallion this big (and motions a size with his hands). GFX: Ad with drawn images of Nehru suits. STILL: Black and white of band “The Who.” GFX SUPER: “My Look” INT MS: In interview (part VO) Matt Lauer says “I thought I was the coolest when I got my first pair of Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers. High-top, white canvas. I thought I was it.” MS: Various shots including CU of a high top Chuck Taylor Converse sneaker. INT MS: In interview (part VO) Natalie Morales says “My idol was Olivia Newton-John. And I remember wanting to be just like her, skating around my apartment in flowy dresses with my skates and leg warmers.” CLIP: Clip from the movie “Xanadu” with actors including Newton-John. STILLS: Models (some faces unseen) wearing leg warmers. INT MS: In interview (part VO) Savannah Guthrie says “I grew up in the desert. It was 115°, and I insisted on having legwarmers. I got 'em for Christmas.” GFX SUPER: “My Look” INT MS: Guthrie says (part VO) “The '80s were not kind to me. I was in high school. We used to wear boxer shorts to school-- actual men's boxer shorts. I cannot believe that my parents let me out of the house, but they did. And everybody did it.” STILLS: Inserts of Guthrie as a teenager. INT MS: Morales says (part VO) “I embraced the pinstripes, the somewhat bigger hair, the shoulder pads. I think in the '80s, it was not a good look. It was not a good look for any one of us.” STILL: 1980’s photo of Morales and her date (date’s face is blurred out). GFX: Image of Guess jeans. INT MS: Guthrie says (part VO) “I wanted Guess jeans so badly. I was so excited to have that little red triangle on my back pocket. They got a lot of wear, I can tell you that. I had a jean jacket, and I'm still wearing it” (and points to the jean jacket she’s wearing). STILL: CU of Guess jean logo in a red triangle on Guess jeans. STILL: Model (faces unseen) wearing a jean jacket.
