And we are starting with Ed Sheeran. The musician is getting candid opening up about his secret struggle with substance abuse. During a stop at a British talk show, Sheeran talked about the dark side of fame and how it affected him saying in part, "All of the pitfalls that people read about, I just found myself slipping into all of them, mostly like substance abuse." He added that "It all starts off as a party and then you're doing it on your own and it's not, so that was the wake-up call and taking a year off." Sheeran credits his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, and work with getting him back on the right path. Happy to hear that. (08:14:16): And moving on to everyone's favorite Veep, Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Last month, the eight-time Emmy winner revealed the devastating news of her breast cancer diagnosis. And now, she's giving fans a fierce and funny update posting a selfie captioning it "Chemo number two finito. We are not leaping around here." SHEINELLE JONES (08:14:33): Oh. DYLAN DREYER (08:14:33): She went on to poke Katy Perry writing "I've got the eye of the tiger, the fighter dancing through the fire because I am a champion and you're going to hear me roar." She thanked Perry as well as her Veep co-stars Tony Hale and Timothy Simons for being hilarious and loving inspirations. And by the way, the fifty-six-year-old is already back at work. SHEINELLE JONES (08:14:51): Nice. DYLAN DREYER (08:14:51): And finally, a surprising ranking of Hollywood's most profitable stars. Analysts at Party Casino, an online gaming site, studied box office data from 1980 to 2017 looking for the best return on investment of male actors who starred in at least ten films during that time. SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:07): Goodness. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:08): Because why not. The result might not be what you expect. Coming in at number five is Dudley Moore. CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:13): Dudley Moore. SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:13): Oh. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:14): Number four is Tyler Perry. Three goes to Mel Gibson. Two to Jean-Claude Van Damme. Did I say that properly? SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:19): Yeah, that's right. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:20): Okay. And ready for the top spot? CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:22): I bet it's The Rock. No, it's not The Rock. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:23): It is Emilio Estevez. For every dollar spent on the actor's films, he generated six dollars and seventy cents at the box office. As for the worst return, it's equally surprising. Brad Pitt. They say he returns only ten cents for every dollar spent. CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:39): I'm surprised The Rock is not on that list. Dwayne Johnson is a-- SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:42): It started in the 1980s. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:43): I think back in the '80s, they didn't pay actors as much but they would rake in a lot of money, especially over time so. SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:48): That's a good point. CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:49): Dudley Moore. SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:50): Right? DYLAN DREYER (08:15:50): Yeah. CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:50): I would not have guessed. Of course I wouldn't have guessed Emilio Estevez being in there. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:55): Number one spot. SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:55): That's interesting. CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:56): Yeah. SHEINELLE JONES (08:15:56): Well, thank you for that news we can use. DYLAN DREYER (08:15:58): Yes. You're welcome. CRAIG MELVIN (08:15:59): We will be talking about that all day along with your organized freezer. SHEINELLE JONES (08:16:02): Yes, just little labels and everything.
