New Yorkers want a Discounted Metro Card, Rally at City Hall, NYC

NEW YORK, NY – APRIL 11, 2018: Riders Alliance and Community Service Society of New York hosted a rally on the steps of New York City Hall on Wednesday April 11. Activists and lawmakers are pushing for Mayor Bill de Blasio to fund discounted MetroCards for low-income New Yorkers in next year’s budget. It is estimated that if the 'Fair Fares" proposal is approved it would help about 800,000 low-income subway and bus commuters. #fairfares (Footage by Tomas Abad/Getty Images).
