"Aguja de Cleopatra" ( Cleopatra's Needle ) refers to a pair of ancient Egyptian obelisks, originally erected in Heliopolis and later moved to Alexandria. The name is a misnomer, as Cleopatra had little to do with their creation, which occurred centuries before her time under the pharaohs Thutmose III and Ramesses II.
