(Costa Mesa) – – Augustine Tse is the founder of Tse Cashmere, a Los Angeles–based knitwear firm that revolutionized the global cashmere industry in the 1980s by helping set up factories in northwest China that can spin the raw fiber into cashmere. Prior to that, the raw fiber was shipped to places like Scotland and Italy, where it was woven into high–end cashmere sweaters and coats. Tse has helped turn China from a supplier of raw yarn into a producer of sophisticated, increasingly high–end cashmere. Tse s cashmere clothing ranges from 200 to thousands of dollars.
