Independence Volunteers Burial
A fleet of hearses carrying the coffins of ten War of Independence Volunteers, arrive at Glasnevin Cemetry, Dublin. The ten men were executed more than 80 years ago for taking part in Ireland's war of independence against British rule. * The group including Kevin Barry, one of the most celebrated figures in the Irish fight for independence was being reburied with full state honours after lying since their hangings in 1920 and 1921 in the grounds of Dublin's Mountjoy jail. The bodies of the ten men were exhumed under the terms of a licence specially granted by Justice Minister John O'Donoghue. (Photo by Chris Bacon - PA Images/PA Images via Getty Images)
